Old Master Copies

I did the old master copies by Leonardo da Vinci which was the Head of Leda which was drawn between 1504 to 1506. Secondly Grotesque Profile was completed in 1487 and Studies for the Madonna on The Rocks around 1483 to 1484. The material was an ink pen which I drew in my sketchbook for Figure Drawing II that I had last semester.

It was about selecting a old master from the Renaissance to the Baroque era that eventually, I selected Leonardo da Vinci who was a artist, inventor, and anatomist from the High Renaissance era which was a revival of Greco-Roman culture in a crossroads with the Middle Ages and the Modern civilization that blended in Catholic beliefs through art, music, and philosophy that began in Florence, Italy around 1400 that later on spread through the rest of Europe. When I did Figure Drawing in 2016, I did Michaelangelo who was a painter and sculptor who is best known for the biblical prophet David and the Creation of Adam from the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican which I did an old master copy based on the book of Genesis in the Old Testament of the Bible which God created the world with the first man Adam and the first woman named Eve. However she picked the forbidden fruit which was tricked by a serpent in form of Satan which led to their exile from the Garden of Eden forever that became the first original sin of mankind, that made an example to society and not go to hell in the afterlife.
