Long Charcoal Drawing

Here is a 5-hour drawing of an older middle-aged woman from my Figure Drawing II class that was made in the Spring of 2022 a year ago. The materials were charcoal pencil and a stick to make some darker shadows that give a chiaroscuro effect used in Renaissance and Baroque art such as Caravaggio, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Michelangelo. Next, I used a cast shadow to make the model's shadows more dramatic and remarkable.
