Self Portrait

I did a self portrait of myself in Intermediate Drawing from last semester. First of all, I had to measure with a ruler in order to make it the right size. I used a vine charcoal to mark the top of the cranium that protects the brain. I took a selfie for reference to make sure it looks purely realistic. I took some feedback very seriously that inspired me to do better and survived all the way through. Secondly, I started drawing the hair based on how it grows with highlights and lowlights which my hair is wavy. I drew the head because I have a heart shaped face. It was 18” x 24” inches wide that was the source drawing pad that used in the class. Overall, it was very excellent and perfect for my level of drawing skills.
